The project as a whole encompassed this building and 2 adjacent buildings which formed the full frontage of the block on Percy Street. The existing building was converted into 57 student studios with an addition of office and restaurant uses at lower levels.
Demolitions took place at the rear of all properties forming 2 stair cases to all floors as well as a lift for all student accommodation including the roof area accommodation of Block B. As the project was split into 3 key phases this allowed us to decant and re-locate occupants whilst the encapsulation of the asbestos removal took place. As we were working in a live environment it was paramount that we worked closely with the occupants to ensure their businesses were kept operational and safe.
