Staff from Meldrum were lucky enough to visit a local school to see how their fundraising will benefit the lives of disabled children. The Cedars Academy will be receiving 12 new iPads from some of the money raised at this year’s Meldrum Demolition Ball. We aim to raise in the region of £25,000 to £30,000 for the charity, being able to meet the children and staff at The Cedars Academy really meant a lot to us.
Michelle O’Reilly, head teacher at the school, said the iPads will make a real difference to the children, ” They will make learning fun and accessible and provide opportunities for all our students to work independently no matter what their barriers to learning may be: this raises self esteem and confidence.”
